McDavid Stilwell is an experienced biotechnology and finance executive with more than 25 years of experience in finance, investment management, corporate development, investor relations and communications. Prior to joining Atsena Therapeutics as Chief Financial Officer in 2025, he previously served as CFO at CPTx GmbH, a genetic medicines company in Germany, and at Coherus Biosciences during a three-year period in which the company launched multiple new products into the U.S. market. Earlier he held senior leadership roles at Sangamo Therapeutics, Orexigen Therapeutics, and GTx, Inc. Prior to entering the biopharmaceutical industry, he was senior analyst at Shadwell Capital, a hedge fund, and he also worked several years as a journalist.

He received a MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
